5 Important Things College Taught Me

In this post, I share with you 5 important things College taught me that might be useful to you. Whether if you are going to college next year or are just curious to know all the tea.

1. Networking is the key to success

You can be the MOST intelligent person on Earth, but if you do not have a community or a group of people to support you, taking your career to the next level might be hard.

2. Grades are not everything

When I was a kid, I was told by a lot of my teachers that notes were extremely important. However, it is not entirely true. There is a lot of people who have achieved greatness in their careers without having the best grades.

Having the highest scores will not magically open doors for you, but I do have to say they are helpful. For instance, if you are applying for an exchange program, having good grades helps a ton! Nonetheless, there is another important aspect to take into consideration.

3. Your motivation is your strength

Whether you are looking for a job, applying for an internship, participating in a contest. Your motivation is what makes you different from the other candidates. It is your strength!

Companies prefer to recruit a person who is motivated to work and passionate about their company, rather than someone who is perfect for the job but has a difficult attitude.

4. Internships are a must do

In every job, they ask for at least a year of experience. That is why internships are so important! Also, because they allow you to work in your field and help you decide which job you would like to have.

5. Sleep becomes the goal of the week

I have never appreciated sleep as much as I do now that I am in College. There are days when I have projects to work on, I have so much to study and as a result, I get almost no sleep. So whenever I have free time, I just sleep.

You know that you are in College when all you do in your free time is sleeping.

Now, tell me more about you! Are you a college student? Have you already finish your studies?
